We are proud sponsors of the Wakefield Sea Cadets. They offer Young people a new ways of thinking and acting from the kind of adventures they have at Sea Cadets, like power boating, learning how to save a life, sailing a tall ship, catering for a crew, event meteorology and engineering.
Their annual open day is Sunday 8th July where they open their doors to the public to visit and get know what they do.
Hot and Cold Food and Drinks will be available throughout the day as well as a Licenced Bar. There will be stalls inside and weather permitting outside. Wakefield Scouts will be providing boat rides on several different types of craft up the river and back. There will be a prize for best individual fancy dress and face painting, raffle and Plastic Duck Race on the river. The main event of the day is the Boat Race. Up to 13 teams are invited from businesses, clubs and families to take part in a sponsored rowing race.
