Help this amazing guy raise money and awareness for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The story of cancer is changing. There are 2 million people living with cancer today, and by 2030 there will be 4 million.
Macmillan Cancer Support wants to ensure every one of those people has the support they need and that no one has to face cancer alone.
My name is Tom, I am a 26 year old Transport Planner and I live in Wakefield with my girlfriend Amy and our two dogs (Murphy and Teddy).
On August 11th I will set off running 6 marathons in 6 days (160miles) from the West Coast to the East Coast for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Some people may join me along the way (for more info click here) but for the most part I will be running alone. I will have a team supporting me, all of whom share my goal and believe in me.
Until I started training in September 2013 I had never run much. I didn’t even own any running trainers and I had never even considered running a marathon.
I have trained for over 600 hours, lost 18lbs and my body and lifestyle have both completely changed. I now run up to 70 miles per week, cycle to and from work and regularly attend a variety of different classes, preparing my body for what is to come.
My challenge is actually quite simple, there is nothing complicated about it.
Every journey in life, starts with a single step, as will mine.
